UC Davis School Spirit
The Aggies are well known for their school spirit and the entire town of Davis radiates “Aggie Pride”. On our visit we stayed at the charming Hallmark Inn just a few blocks from campus. From the moment we checked-in I could feel the Aggie spirit and warm welcome that UC Davis and the town that hugs campus, have become so well known for. In the evening we felt very safe walking through town on the short stroll to campus. The town glitters with twinkling lights strung from every restaurant and laughter pours out into the streets from the bars. The campus felt welcoming even after dark and the pathways were very well lit. I could tell as a parent I would feel very comfortable dropping my student off here for the year and driving home. Peeking into the student union after dark I spotted students gathered in small groups studying by a cozy fireplace. Downstairs the student union was buzzing with activity in the game room which houses a full size bowling alley, arcade games and pool tables.
The student union was beautiful but it will be even nicer I’m told when the new renovation is complete.
